Baustians

 

Joachim Baustian was born Feb 25 1788 in Germany. He married Mary Karr and settled in Rock County Iowa. He is married in the Mt. Joy Cemetery in Long Grove IA.  It is Joachim's descendents that are  Photograph of Roer River.listed on these pages. Valley Bauder (great-great granddaughter of Joachim) is the person who did most of the research and painstakingly did this before the age of computers. She deserves most of credit for assembling this information.

 

In later generations two Baustian brothers married two Brandenburg families and since then these two families have been closely linked. The reunions are all Baustian/Brandenburg reunions. John, Lamont,Frances in the picture to the right. at John and Theresa's wedding.
