More Old Hunting Pictures

This is the bunch of guys my dad hunted with in the 1930s. The picture is taken just south of Red Lake.

This picture is taken in Southern Minnesota with one of my dad's war buddies. He told him to look him up after the war and he would take him pheasant hunting. I believe the guys last name was Gohr and he may have been from Mountain Lake. This picture would be from about 1955.

Rover

Rover was the best dog my dad ever had. He had a lot of stories about this dog and there sure were a lot of pictures. On one hunt in southern Minnesota someone had been watching the dog hunt and seen him retrieve a cripple that sailed into a cornfield a quarter mile away. When they were done hunting he drove over to them and expressed his interest in buying the dog. Of course the answer was no. Several days later someone stole him.
